Hand turned from a highly patterned wood called spalted beech, the eye catching markings are a result of a natural process where fallen beech trees are left to grow certain fungi which colourizes the wood, leaving a unique pattern that can't be replicated the same twice. This piece of beech has been turned to keep its square form, with a delicately thin edges and curved sides. This bowl was made as a centerpiece, or as decor around the home. 
 
Finished with a blend of oils to nourish and enhance the beauty of the wood.
 
This bowl measures 21 x 21cm in a square and reaches 11cm at its highest point.
