Made from English ash and turned in January 2024, this stuning bottle vase features perfectly straight sides and a gentle curve at the top, and a textured tactile surface. Ash is a stong, dense wood and has a lovely eye catching grain. Perfect with a selection of dried flowers, or with a couple of artistic twigs.
 
Finished with an ancient Japanese technique called Yakisugi, which involves using a 2000 degree flame to cause instant charring on the surface of the wood, before it is removed with an abrasive to reveal the grain hidden underneath.

This vase measures 8cm wide and 21cm tall, with a cored out hole that is 8.5cm deep.
